    Preferred Shaft Flex

Recommendations for players who CONSISTENTLY hit their 7-iron:

    • Ladies: Less than 120 yards.
    • Senior: 120-135 yards.
    • Regular: 135-155 yards. Most common flex.
    • Stiff: 155-175 yards.
    • Extra Stiff: 175 yards or more.

Beginning golfers who are not in the Ladies or Senior shaft flex category should select Regular Flex Shafts.

    Preferred Shaft Material

GRAPHITE shafts are vibration-dampening, lightweight options. They produce a softer feel, a higher launch, and more speed for improved distance.

STEEL shafts are designed to maximize consistency and provide a stable feel for stronger players. Steel shafts are generally heavier than graphite and are available in a variety of weights and stiffness profiles to help optimize your launch conditions.

    Preferred Grip Size

Measure your hand, crease to finger tip.

    • Undersize: less than 6.5"
    • Standard: 6.5" to 8"
    • Midsize: 8" to 9"
    • Oversize: more than 9"

    What's Your Number?

GEN8 Irons are engineered around a pair of revolutionary adjustable weights. One in the heel. One in the toe. Those numbers? They represent how much weight sits in each position. Shift weight toward the heel or toe during your fitting to fine-tune your ball flight. More draw. More fade. More control.

Curious what your number might be? Book a GEN8 fitting to find out.

    ∞ Numbers That Deliver Results

In testing, nearly all of the players immediately felt the difference between weight configurations. And all showed measurable changes in face-to-path at impact. Real Numbers. Real data. Real performance.

Watch Precision Tuning in Action: Shift the heavy weight heel-side to promote a draw bias. Move it toe-side for fade control. Your swing stays the same - the ball flight transforms.

    Performance Benefits

    • Dual Perimeter Weighting System for a completely dialed-in fit
    • QuantumCOR Internal Polymer delivering max USGA-legal C.O.R.
    • Deep Core Recoil Technology for explosive speed off the face
    • High launch with optimized spin control
    • Tight dispersion, even on off-center hits
    • Incredibly soft, responsive feel at impact

    Technology That Performs

PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons combine a revolutionary new Dual Weighting System, Deep Core Recoil Technology, QuantumCOR Polymer, and an Ultra-Thin Maraging Steel Face to deliver faster ball speeds, optimized spin, and unmatched feel.

    Dual Perimeter Weighting System

Introducing a new era of adjustability. Our revolutionary Dual Perimeter Weighting System allows PXG fitters to independently adjust heel and toe weights from 2g to 12g in 1g increments, making measurable shot-shape changes, without altering lie or loft. This system substantially increases MOI, enhancing forgiveness and control.

    Ultra-Thin Maraging Steel Face

At just .050", PXG’s thinnest face ever delivers maximum flex and ball speed. Forged from HT1770 maraging steel, it provides pure sound, incredible feel, and consistent control.

    QuantumCOR Internal Polymer

PXG’s fastest and softest polymer ever, QuantumCOR, fills the clubhead cavity to maximize energy transfer and dampen vibration. Refined internal geometries and Dual Perimeter Weighting allow for even more QuantumCOR fill, boosting COR and feel across the face.

    Tungsten Toe Weighting

An internal, high-density tungsten weight centers CG and stabilizes the head through impact, preserving forgiveness on off-center strikes.

    Deep Core Recoil Technology

More Flex. More Energy. More Speed. Deep Core Recoil Technology is PXG’s latest face-to-core innovation, designed to amplify energy transfer and boost ball speed across the entire hitting surface.

By carving out additional internal space directly behind the ultra-thin maraging steel face, the clubhead can recoil more efficiently at impact, creating a dynamic spring-like effect. This added face deflection means higher launch conditions, faster ball speeds, and more consistent distance, even on off-center strikes.

“Reliable flight, predictable spin – GEN8 is built for control.”

    Great clubs

"Switching from the 0211 Gen 2s to the 0311 Gen 8s has completely improved my game. The fitting process and overall quality of these clubs truly made a noticeable difference. The craftsmanship and performance exceeded all my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone looking to take their game to the next level."

    Absolutely love my new irons,

"Absolutely love my new irons, I'm hitting them great. They took a little bit to get use to, but my game is definitely more consistent now. The fitting process at the Troy, Mi store was also amazing. I recommend everyone to go and get a fitted."

    NICHOLAS E. (5/5)

    Irons have worked well without

"Irons have worked well without issue. They did not require a breaking in period as these irons employ graphite shafts ,not the steel that I had used for years. (Father Time is undefeated as they say). This is my 2nd set of PXG irons. I couldn’t be happier with the fitting experience-Jessica was a big help getting me into the right club details."

Gen 8 is the best yet

"I’m a 14 index 74 years old, driver ss about 90, 7i=150. This is my 4th set of PXGs. Had the 0211, Gen 3 0311P and was fitted for Gen 6. I’m basically within 1/2 degree of standard length and lie. I had strayed to the Callaway Ai300, but just wasn’t satisfied with the results. Decided to go back to PXG Gen 8 0311P in dark finish for something different. Regular flex MMT shafts. These are the straightest clubs I’ve ever hit, and the trajectory is very controllable. Played yesterday in 30mph gusts. Was able to keep the flight down but still get the distance. After 4 rounds, I’m loving these clubs. Beautiful and functional."

    Steverino74 (5/5)

    The club has a solid

"The club has a solid feel. I did not mark it as a 5 star b/c I’ve only hit the clubs a few times and the face already has a few scratches from hitting balls. I would have expected to see scratches on the face of the club after a couple of years but not the first couple of outings."

    Matthew K. (4/5)

    Mike Fox was great to

"Mike Fox was great to work with. So far I’m happy with the Gen 8’s. I was very disappointed that I couldn’t change the weights back to their original weighting because the people at Mesa store couldn’t remove the weights."

    Gary g. (5/5)

    Amazing technology

"3 rounds and getting use to these irons. Distance and accuracy are amazing. And when struck out of the middle I can’t believe the flight and feel. More greens in regulation is much easier. Last round I only used the irons leaving my driver and fairway woods in the car. Th guys thought I was crazy. I played the best round I ever had. Soon going after the Lightning driver and fairway woods."

    Kevin W. (5/5)

    Step up from Black Ops

"Gabe my fitter did a super job. I’m still playing injured, but man these clubs swing so nice. Can’t wait to see how I score when I’m fully healed. People watch what I buy and I can usually get friends to follow my lead. Thanks PXG Staff. Job well done 👍"

    Mike R. (5/5)

    Iron review

"In the midwest the weather has been just getting better now so I have only tried the irons a few times which feel very nice. The launch seems higher and have gained a little extra distance which is great. I ordered mid-size grips and accepted the PXG brand but I assure you these are not mid-size - they are standard size even though the order reads mid-size. I had mid-size Golf Pride on my old irons which quite honestly I like much better, not to be critical. I would never replace these with PXG grips again. Everything else is fine."

    Lou O. (5/5)

    After 20 years playing Titleist

"After 20 years playing Titleist muscle back blades I went to a PXG fitting and walked away with a whole new bag of clubs. These irons have added 10+ yards to distance and are more forgiving on mishits. I can still manipulate flight and shape sufficiently and their look and feel inspires confidence. I was quickly able to put them in play on the course and the performance has resulted in a more consistent game. These are definitely an upgrade for me from what were already one of the best clubs in the market."

    Q&A

    PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons FAQS

What makes PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons different from previous generations?

PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons feature a new Dual Perimeter Weighting System and Deep Core Recoil Technology, making them the most adjustable and energy-efficient irons PXG has ever produced. Combined with our QuantumCOR polymer, GEN8 delivers faster ball speeds, optimized spin, and a softer, more responsive feel.

How does PXG’s Dual Perimeter Weighting improve performance?

Our Dual Perimeter Weighting System allows PXG Fitters to shift weight toward the heel or toe during a fitting to fine-tune ball flight, shape, and start line — without adjusting lie angle. This breakthrough design boosts forgiveness and gives golfers the most precise real-time fitting experience in the game.

What is Deep Core Recoil Technology in PXG irons?

Deep Core Recoil Technology increases internal space behind the clubface, allowing it to flex more efficiently at impact. This controlled “recoil” enhances face deflection and energy transfer, leading to higher launch, faster ball speeds, and more consistent distance — even on off-center hits.

What is QuantumCOR polymer and why is it important?

PXG’s QuantumCOR is our fastest internal polymer ever. Injected into the clubhead cavity, it maximizes energy transfer for explosive distance while dampening vibrations for exceptional feel. Together with Deep Core Recoil Technology, it helps deliver the pure, high-speed performance GEN8 is known for.

Which PXG 0311 GEN8 Iron model is right for me?
    • 0311 XP GEN8 – Maximum distance, forgiveness, and easy launch.
    • 0311 P GEN8 – Balanced blend of distance and control.
    • 0311 T GEN8 – Tour-inspired precision and workability with added forgiveness.
Are PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons good for high-handicap golfers?

Yes. The 0311 XP GEN8 model is engineered specifically for mid- to high-handicap golfers seeking more distance, forgiveness, and higher launch. Its wider sole, stronger lofts, and maximum offset make it extremely playable and confidence-inspiring.

Can I get custom fit for PXG GEN8 Irons?

Absolutely. Every set of PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons is custom-built to your exact specs — including shaft, length, loft, lie, grip, and Dual Perimeter Weighting configuration. During your fitting, PXG Fitters make real-time adjustments so you can see and feel the impact of every tweak instantly.

What finishes are available for PXG GEN8 Irons?

GEN8 Irons are offered in Chrome and Xtreme Dark finishes — both precision-forged, CNC milled and robotically polished for premium consistency and durability.

What materials are used in PXG 0311 GEN8 Irons?

Each head is 5X forged from 8620 carbon steel with an ultra-thin HT1770 maraging steel face, tungsten toe weighting, and QuantumCOR polymer core — a combination that delivers unmatched speed, feel, and forgiveness.

How do I schedule a PXG fitting for GEN8 Irons?
