GAME-CHANGING GOLF IRONS
0311 GEN6
Gen6 Technology
VARIABLE ULTRA-THIN FACE
Since their inception, PXG irons have maintained the thinnest face in golf, and with GEN6 the face is now even thinner. Made from high-strength HT1770 maraging steel, the variable ultra-thin face measures a mere 0.050" (~1.27mm) thick — 15% thinner than previous models. Combined with PXG’s proprietary XCOR2 Technology, GEN6 Irons deliver the company’s highest C.O.R. performance ever, helping increase distance and forgiveness while also enhancing sound and feel.
XCOR2 TECHNOLOGY
XCOR2 is PXG’s revolutionary polymer core material, the result of years of research and development. Extremely lightweight, XCOR2 helps reduce the mass of the core which enables more weight to be positioned low and to the perimeter of the backside of the clubhead, dramatically increasing MOI. Combined with PXG’s variable ultra-thin face technology, XCOR2 enhances the C.O.R. for extreme face deflection and out-of-sight ball speed.
POWER CHANNEL TECHNOLOGY
Power Channel Technology is the proprietary U-shaped corridor built into the internal surface of the face to increase deflection and bend in the top sector. The channel creates face movement and transfers energy to simultaneously increases launch angle, trajectory, and ball speed.
5X Forged
Each iron is forged five-times from 8620 soft carbon steel, creating a tight grain structure that increases its strength, prolonging the life of the grooves and enhancing the overall feel and appearance.
Milled Back Surface
Milling the back surface of each iron is a high-precision process that reduces the wall thickness more than forging alone could achieve, to create a high-performance body design and an enhanced aesthetic.
OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE
Backed by industry-leading engineering and a relentless pursuit of performance, PXG 0311 P GEN6 Irons provide an ideal balance between workability and forgiveness. These irons feature PXG’s patented XCOR2 material, moderate offset, and breakthrough head design with a clean aesthetic. GEN6 Irons advance our original flagship forward and offer an exceptional blend of distance, workability, and forgiveness.
Available in Chrome, Xtreme Dark finish and two new finishes: Double Chrome and Double Black.

GEN5 Technology
XCOR2 Technology
A result of years of research and development, XCOR2 is PXG’s revolutionary polymer core material, designed specifically for GEN5 Irons. Extremely lightweight, XCOR2 helps reduce the mass of the core. This enables more weight to be positioned low and to the perimeter of the backside of the clubhead, dramatically increasing MOI and forgiveness. Combined with our ultra-thin face technology, XCOR2 enhances the C.O.R. for extreme face deflection and out of sight ball speed.
The Thinnest Face in Golf
The clubface is made from an HT 1770 maraging stainless steel using a cold roll manufacturing process combined with an aged heat treatment method. This produces an extremely tight grain structure and higher-strength performance than what can be achieved through the traditional forging process. This advanced material and process is one of the attributes that enables PXG to deliver the thinnest clubface in golf, measuring a mere 0.058" (~1.55mm) thick.
Precision Weighting
GEN5 Irons feature five tungsten heel/toe weights and one large weight located near the CG on the back of the clubhead. The large center weight can be used to achieve optimal swing weight. Customers can experience Precision Weighting Technology adjustments during their in-person fitting with a PXG Fitting Specialist. Weighting is not intended to be adjusted after purchase.

0317 Technology
Milled Face & Back
Milling the face and back surfaces is a high-precision process, unobtainable through forging alone, that ensures every line, curve, and angle are produced to exacting specifications to create a high-performance body design and enhancing aesthetics.
Precision Weighting
One large weight is located near the CG on the back of the clubhead. This large center weight can be used to achieve optimal swing weight. Unique to PXG, customers can experience the benefits of these adjustments during an in-person fitting. Weighting is not intended to be adjusted after purchase.
3X Forged Feel
Each iron is three-times forged from 8620 soft carbon steel, creating a tight grain structure that increases its strength, prolonging the life of the grooves and enhancing the overall feel and appearance.
Robotic Precision
0317 Irons undergo a precision robotic polishing process. Robotic polishing creates an extremely precise manufacturing process that supports consistent sole and face perimeter geometry with every club.
Xtreme Dark Finish
PXG’s stunning Xtreme Dark irons are created using an advanced process called Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating. DLC significantly extends the reasonable lifetime of the finish. Unlike the typical black PVD used by other equipment manufacturers, DLC is a three-layer process that produces extraordinary wear resistance without influencing club performance.

Irons FAQs
While there are several high-performance golf iron sets on the market, we believe the PXG 0311 GEN6 irons provide the most distance, accuracy and forgiveness, with a sound and feel that is simply beyond compare. Visit a PXG Fitting Studio and see for yourself why we think our 0311 GEN6 irons are the best golf irons.
The cost of a PXG golf iron set (8 golf clubs) depends on the club. Our 0211 Irons are typically at a lower price point, and our latest generation irons are at the higher end. The price varies based on the type of clubs purchased and the chosen customizations (shaft, grip, finish, etc.). From entry-level iron sets to tour-level professional golf irons, the price will differ for each PXG iron set.
Traditionally, there are eight golf irons in a set. These clubs range from pitching wedge to 3-iron. PXG irons can be purchased as a set or individually. If you’re ready to take the next step in your golf game, a full set of golf irons from PXG should be at the top of your list. At PXG, we also offer hybrids and driving irons, which could be added to your iron set.
