PXG 0341 Fairway Woods are engineered to provide vast fine-tuning options to optimize trajectory and deliver maximum distance and accuracy.
Eleven moveable weights in the sole enable golfers to position the center of gravity for optimal launch, spin and bias. While there are many possible combinations, there are four common positions.
PXG’s adjustable hosel can change the loft (+/-) 1½ degrees to optimize the trajectory.
Intricate geometries are better attained through casting. The body of the PXG 0341 Fairway Wood is cast from 17-4 stainless steel. 17-4 stainless steel is a high-grade performance alloy, suitable for casting extremely thin walled structures.
The face is formed from HT1770 high-strength steel. Using a high-strength steel allows for a thinner face, thereby saving critical mass. As a result, mass can be redistributed to various locations within the club head leading to a more optimized ball flight.
HIGH-STRENGTH FACE DESIGN
Precision Weighting Technology keeps club head mass distributed through a series of weights. PXG 0341 Fairway Woods have 11 weights – platinum colored weights made of high-density tungsten and black weights made of low-density titanium. Fine-tuning will alter the initial launch conditions allowing the golfer to achieve the best possible results without changing his or her swing.
This weight distribution positions the mass evenly around the weighting system.
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the back of the club head producing a slightly higher launch (approx. 1/4 degree) with slightly more spin.
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the toe of the club head and has the effect of producing a more fade-bias shot of approximately 5-10 yards.
This weight distribution positions the mass towards the heel of the club head and has the effect of producing a more draw-bias shot of approximately 5-10 yards.
