PXG NATIONAL STAFF MEMBER, ALEX RIGGS REVIEWS TWO PUTTERS FROM OUR BATTLE READY LINE UP – BLACKJACK AND ONE & DONE.

What’s going on everybody? Alex Riggs here. We are at Trump, Dubai, and today I am happy to show you PXG’s two new Battle Ready Putters.

This new Battle Ready collection offers up two new head designs. We’ve got the PXG Blackjack Putter and the PXG One & Done Putter. Now, both of these are mallet style heads. We know mallets are more forgiving. We want that forgiveness. We want that extra moment of inertia, that stability. And what they’ve done with their construction is they’ve used their aircraft grade aluminum to create the body of the putter head. They’ve used a high density tungsten to distribute more weight away from the putter face away from the axis of the shaft to increase that stability. So for you, that means more consistency in that off-center hit, which inevitably happens and more stability through the face. So, this is absolutely going to play a very forgiving putter.

EASY PUTTER ALIGNMENT

We can see different alignment strategies with these two models with the Blackjack, you’ve got more of that arrowhead design, clean lines.

With the One & Done again we’ve got visual lines as well as that circular golf ball-like visual aid. So different looks for different players. You’ve got to try these out.

PERFORMANCE PERSONALIZED WITH THREE HOSEL TYPES

Now when it comes to hosel design PXG is bringing you three options. So, the one that I’ve got displayed here, this is the double bend. And what the double bend provides you with is a faced balanced head. Okay? So you can see the face stays square when I allow that putter just to sit at rest. We’ve got two other options. We’ve got a plumber’s neck, the plumber’s next going to give you a little bit of toe hang. And then the third option is the heel shaft. The heel shaft is going to have the most toe hang. Now, what does that mean? Well, if you’re a player that might struggle with missing with slight pushes, this double bend face balanced option is likely going to be the best for you.

If you’re somebody that likes to have more of a mid-style stroke, you might be more of the plumber’s neck. And those that really want to create an opening and closing effect are certainly going to like the feel of the heel shaft. But those are just suggestions. What I would like is for you guys to try these, give them a roll, see which one suits your eye and which one’s dropping more putts. Now, after all that chatting, it’s my turn to give these a roll and figure out which one I want to put in the bag.

WHAT IS ALEX RIGGS PUTTING IN THE BAG?

Testing is complete. And after having a roll with both, I have to say the blackjack is the putter for me. I love the clean lines on this model. It’s sets up beautifully. I have such confidence with my alignments. The head, the feel of the face is exactly what I’m looking for. The blackjack is going in my bag.
