GOLF+ Invites Golfers to Step onto the Virtual Course with Just Released PXG 0311 GEN6 Golf Clubs

PXG Introduces Actor, Comedian, and Retired Marine Rob Riggle as the Company’s Newest Ambassador

The multi-talented actor, comedian, writer, producer, director, retired Marine Lieutenant Colonel, and golf nut will officially represent PXG on the golf course and collaborate in creating top-shelf content.

The series premieres on YouTube on Thursday, August 18, 2022, with new episodes airing every Thursday for six weeks. Each episode features Riggle and guests playing three holes at Scottsdale National Golf Club as they chat about life, work, and their passion for the game of golf. On his relationship with PXG, Riggle shared, “I love golf. I love PXG. I love playing golf with PXG!” 

As an avid golf enthusiast, Riggle fell in love with the sport at the age of 12 after hitting a bucket of balls with his mom’s clubs. Like PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons, Rob Riggle is a United States Marine. He joined the Marine Corps in 1990 at 19, rising through the ranks and serving in various countries, including Albania, Liberia, and Afghanistan. He retired from the Marine Corps after 23 years of service.

“We’ve been team Riggle for years. Now, I am pleased and proud to officially welcome my fellow Devil Dog and funny man, Rob Riggle, to team PXG,” Bob Parsons stated.

DETROIT (July 27, 2022) – PXG, an innovative golf company dedicated to developing high-performance equipment and apparel, partnered with DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program) and Rocket Mortgage to provide 24 local high school students with a first-hand look at the STEM fields associated with golf. Hosted at PXG Detroit in Troy, the PXG Detroit STEM Experience included four interactive experiments developed and led by PXG Engineers and Fitting Specialists. Activities ranged from measuring smash factor and solving C.O.R to a putting challenge and getting the chance to swing away in the TrackMan golf simulator.

Following the experience at PXG Detroit, the group traveled to Detroit Golf Club as special guests of Rocket Mortgage. There, from the comfort of the 18th Green Hospitality Chalet, students were able to witness the science of golf executed in a real-life setting during the Delta Dental Pro-Am. As an extra treat, NFL Hall of Fame running back and Detroit Lions legend Barry Sanders stopped in during his round for a quick meet-and-greet and autograph session with the students. Rocket Mortgage also gifted each student two tickets to return to the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic later in the week to watch the PGA Pros put their STEM and athletic skills to the test on the course.

“After having this experience, I now have a better idea of the type of engineering I’m interested in,” said rising 12th grader and DAPCEP student Jasmyn Harris. “I want to thank PXG and DAPCEP for having all of us come in for such an amazing opportunity to learn more about the sport and make new friends.”

On June 30, 2022, the women of PXG will take leave of their work to head to the golf course. For a second year, led by President and Executive Creative Director of PXG Apparel Renee Parsons, more than 150 women are expected to answer the call to play.

“PXG Women’s Day to Play is a punctuation mark in an ongoing effort by the company to encourage more women to get into golf,” Renee Parsons shared. “This opportunity brings the women of PXG centerstage and celebrates their daily efforts to help grow the business and the game.” 

The invitation for a paid day off extends to every woman at every level of the company, from club builder to executive. It also encourages participation by players of every skill set, from first-timer to scratch golfer.

Last night, PXG honored its roots during an event that exuded red, white, and blue in celebration of the opening of its PXG Fairfax store. Military veterans, notables, athletes, and clients alike, joined PXG Founder and CEO, Bob Parsons and President and Executive Creative Director of Apparel, Renee Parsons, for the all-American celebration of the new retail store.

Opening a storefront in Fairfax, VA was a natural choice for www.pxg.com as the Washington, DC metro area ranks the 7th largest golf market in the country based on number of golfers. Dunford Jr. – and comedian/Marine Rob Riggle to discuss The Fund’s mission and how PXG will continue playing a part.

Rob:

Gentlemen, what an honor it is to be here with you, two other Marines. I am a Marine as well. So Bob Parsons, you’ve done so much. And of course, General Dunford, you’ve done so much for Marines. Let’s talk about the Semper Fi Fund, the Semper Fi & America’s Fund now. I’ve been with this so long, back when it was just the Semper Fi Fund, but now we’ve added America’s Fund as well to that. Can you tell me if you don’t mind General, jumping in on this one? I’m curious, educate us on what the mission is.

General Dunford:

Sure. Well, as you know, Rob, a number of men and women who serve, have catastrophic wounds and injuries that really have a big impact in their lives. And so the primary purpose of the fund is to give them as much of the independence and the quality of life as they would’ve had in the context of their injuries.

Rob:

Well, and there is. When I talk to people about this, they say, “Well, isn’t the government taking care of that? Doesn’t Uncle Sam, isn’t they supposed to jump in and do that?” And yes, to a certain degree they do, but there’s always gaps. There’s always gaps. And I always feel like that’s what the Semper Fi & America’s Fund really helps to do. Is that accurate?

General Dunford:

Look, I couldn’t agree more. That’s exactly right. I mean, there’s only so much the government is going to do. And then the private sector has to pick up and fill those gaps as you talked about. And that’s exactly what we seek to do.

Rob:

Good. Awesome.

Rob:

Mr. Parson, you have spearheaded so many different projects, so many different ways to help our veterans, obviously being a big supporter of the Semper Fi & America’s Fund, you also do a lot in other ways. What are you happy to see going on here?

Bob Parsons:

Well, I love the fact that the Semper Fi Fund is being represented here and most capably by General Dunford, who heads it up now and he’s made a nice difference. The fund has made a tremendous difference. My wife and I have been supporting them for, I’d say the better part of 10 years, if not more than 10 years. And so we’re very excited about that. And we also have a number of other military organizations we support, but right at the moment, we’re focused on the Semper Fi Fund.

Rob:

Well, and you’ve always done a really good job too, of finding different ways, I’ve found, to support the Semper Fi Fund. Not only do you directly support them, but you also support them in other ways, by matching other people’s work, myself included. I had a golf tournament that I did for a while for the Semper Fi Fund. And you were always very gracious about, “Well, what did he raise? He raised that much? I’ll match it.” And it always doubled the numbers, which was, I found, just truly remarkable. And I always appreciated that too. So thank yovu.

Bob Parsons:
