    Preferred Shaft Flex

Recommendations for players who CONSISTENTLY hit their 7-iron:

    • Ladies: Less than 120 yards.
    • Senior: 120-135 yards.
    • Regular: 135-155 yards. Most common flex.
    • Stiff: 155-175 yards.
    • Extra Stiff: 175 yards or more.

Beginning golfers who are not in the Ladies or Senior shaft flex category should select Regular Flex Shafts.

    Preferred Shaft Material

GRAPHITE shafts are vibration-dampening, lightweight options. They produce a softer feel, a higher launch, and more speed for improved distance.

STEEL shafts are designed to maximize consistency and provide a stable feel for stronger players. Steel shafts are generally heavier than graphite and are available in a variety of weights and stiffness profiles to help optimize your launch conditions.

    Preferred Grip Size

Measure your hand, crease to finger tip.

    • Undersize: less than 6.5"
    • Standard: 6.5" to 8"
    • Midsize: 8" to 9"
    • Oversize: more than 9"

    Proprietary Face Structure

Our Proprietary Face Structure adapts by loft to fine-tune directional performance and shot accuracy across the lineup. Lower lofts feature enhanced curvature for control on powerful strikes, while higher lofts offer a flatter geometry for consistent launch and distance. The result is straighter shots, tighter dispersion, and precision you can trust from any lie.

Explosive Energy Transfer: A perimeter 12.5% thinner than Black Ops Fairways increases face flex by 4% at impact, translating to faster launch and longer carry.

    Spined Sole Design

Stability That Speeds Up: A reinforced Spined Sole stiffens unwanted vibration frequencies through the base of the clubhead, optimizing energy return and keeping every gram working toward higher ball speed.

    High-Strength Carbon Fiber

Lighter and Faster: A full carbon fiber crown reduces mass and redistributes weight low and to the perimeter, lowering CG for higher launch and greater forgiveness.

    Precision Weighting Technology

Dial In Your Flight: PXG Lightning Fairway Woods feature our Precision Weighting System with up to three ports to fine-tune launch, spin, and shot shape. Lightning Fairways include two front weights and one back weight for precise control of direction and forgiveness. Lightning Tour Fairways feature one front and one back weight, optimized to dial in spin and trajectory for a more penetrating flight.

    Adjustable Hosel

Trajectory Control Made Simple: The adjustable hosel allows for easy loft and lie fine-tuning — letting fitters or players dial in trajectory and launch conditions for optimal performance.

    Great choice!

"I had no idea of such a club, 9w yes, but 11, great choice for me! Having Ethan in my corner made all the difference. He got me set up with my Gen8 irons, Fairway 4&11, Hybrids 22&31 degree! The best was yet to come and that was my Bad Arse Mustang ZT Putter! Again to Ethan and PXG, for being my first brand new clubs, I struck gold! I hope I get as lucky using them!😆"

    First time purchase of a

"First time purchase of a 9 Wood. I'm a LH player and thankful that PXG offers this option. Initial reason or idea for adding the 9W was for use on par 3's. For me, this has certainly proved as being beneficial. This Lighting 9W has also been great on fairway shots into greens. I'm 61 yrs old, inconsistent 15 handicap and by no means a great ball striker. This 9W is really easy for me to launch high with great predictable ball flight. It's basically a point and shoot set up. Highly recommended and glad I added this to my bag."

    I haven’t played a lot

"I haven’t played a lot with it yet but I have been practicing with it and I love it. In fact PXG fairway woods are incredibly good and I find them easy to hit, so much so that I carry a 7 @ 9 wood to replace my 5 and 4 iron. They are easier to hit than hybrids."

    Mike D. (5/5)

    I’m not 100% used to

"I’m not 100% used to my 9 fairway wood but so far so good. I’m getting the yardage I bought it for. So, I’m getting the yardage and the flight i’ve needed for a while. I know I will be using it a lot more."

    Rich G. (5/5)

    I am a senior and

"I am a senior and was having issues with fairway woods and consistency. Only used this new 5 wood for a few rounds and found it to offer good elevation without much effort. Very satisfied with my purchase."

    I love it it goes

"I love it it goes above and beyond what my last 3 wood did I only hope I can get my next fairway probably 7wood with the same Tensei white 75g x stiff shaft I heard you guys are going away from them?"

    esteban a. (5/5)

    I wasn’t sure about replacing

"I wasn’t sure about replacing my 5 iron with this 11 wood but now that I have used it 3 rounds, I love it! My next PXG irons are very impressive. I should have made the switch long ago. i am knocking strokes off of my game."

    Gary T. (5/5)

Awesome fairway wood - long and straight!

"By far the best 4 wood I have ever had. I picked up 15 yards over my Ping 3 wood and have become more accurate. For the first time in over 5 years I hit our 530 yard par 5 in two. Thanks PXG for making my game better and more fun!"

    John B. (5/5)
