LPGA Tour Pro Megan Khang on a golf course

Megan Khang Plays PXG

Megan Khang made history as the first player of Hmong and Laotian descent on the LPGA Tour, but her introduction to golf started with a much simpler motivator: ice cream. As a kid growing up in Massachusetts, trips to the course with her dad were incentivized with soft-serve, a deal that clearly paid off.

A prodigy early on, Khang qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open at just 14, represented the U.S. at the Junior Ryder Cup, and turned professional in 2015. She earned her LPGA Tour card in 2016 and has since carved out a career built on toughness, adaptability, and showing up ready for hard conditions.

Off the course, she’s refreshingly human—equally happy talking TV shows, food, or snowboarding as she is grinding through a tough week. On it, she’s proof that a nontraditional path, a family-driven work ethic, and the right incentives can take you a very long way.
