Cristie Kerr

Cristie Kerr

Cristie Kerr is an American professional golfer and was the first American player to be ranked #1 in the Official Rolex World Golf Rankings. A natural lefty, Kerr has played right-handed since age ten to better match with coaching. Prior to turning professional in 1996, Kerr’s amateur career was regarded by many as one of the most decorated in the game’s history. Kerr was honored with the Muhammad Ali Award for Sportsperson of the Year in 2011, and is a two-time ESPY award winner for Female Golfer of the Year. With more than one hundred fifty top 10 finishes in her career, Kerr is also one of today’s most prominent breast cancer advocates. In 2003, Kerr founded the nonprofit organization Birdies for Breast Cancer, which has raised more than $2.5 million.
