That\u2019s why PXG clubs are built to spec for each individual golfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Precision Weighting Technology is one way we fine-tune our clubs to match each player\u2019s specific skill level and unique performance goals. This feature allows us to adjust the overall weight of the club head and change the center of gravity (CG) to influence ball flight. &nbsp;Let\u2019s look at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pxg.com\/clubs\/drivers\/0811x.html\">0811 X GEN2 Driver&nbsp;<\/a>as an example of how shifting CG &nbsp;can impact your game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Center of Gravity: The point at which the weight is evenly dispersed on all sides. CG location directly correlates to flight characteristics such as launch, spin, and bias.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 0811 X GEN2 Driver has nine weights \u2014 three in the back, three in the front, and three in the heel. The weights are a mix of high-density tungsten (4.1g or 2.5g) and low-density titanium (0.8g), providing a significant amount of moveable mass in the golf club head that can be easily adjusted to influence head weight, bias, and spin rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a breakdown of the three most common weight positions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FORWARD WEIGHTING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Positioning the mass at the front of the head will result in lower spin and launch settings. On average, golfers can expect approximately 200-400 rpm less spin using the most forward weighting configuration.<br>High-speed players or those who may naturally put a little too much spin on the ball can gain distance with this setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BACK WEIGHTING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shifting the center of gravity to the back of the club head produces a dynamic loft with higher launch trajectory and approximately 200-400 rpm more spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This weighting will maximize distance for players with slower swing speeds or who struggle to generate spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HEEL WEIGHTING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Distributing the heavier, tungsten weights towards the heel of the club produces a more draw-biased shot and can help players square the club face more easily. Because draws are naturally lower in spin, this weight distribution often generates a more powerful, longer drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This configuration may benefit those who struggle with an unwanted fade or slice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While these are the most straightforward weight configurations, having nine weights in two different materials allows us to dial-in the weighting system to improve performance for all types of golfers.
