Introducing Allan ZT Long
Zero Torque Balance Technology
The new PXG Allan ZT Long Putter takes everything golfers love about our Zero Torque Balance Technology and extends it into a longer, ultra-stable design. Go Long!
Consistency & Balance
Golfers consider Allan ZT Long when they want a different approach to consistency—one that comes from posture, balance, and stroke geometry rather than mechanics alone. The extended 45-inch length encourages a more upright setup and naturally reduces excess hand and wrist movement, helping players find a smoother rhythm and a more predictable roll. For many, it’s a more comfortable way to putt. For others, it’s a path to greater confidence under pressure.

PXG Allan ZT Long Putter – FAQs
-
Allan ZT is the standard-length option for players who prefer the feel and setup of a conventional putter with Zero Torque benefits.
Allan ZT Long extends those same performance principles into a longer, ultra-stable format for golfers who want added control, reduced wrist action, and a taller, more upright putting posture.
Two models. One Zero Torque technology. Two distinct ways to roll it pure.
-
For many players, yes. The added mass and counterbalance smooth the tempo, reduce twitchiness, and promote a clean, pendulum-like motion. That stability often translates to improved pace control on both short and long putts.
-
A fitting is highly recommended. Because stroke mechanics and posture differ with a long-length putter, dialed-in shaft length, and lie angle ensure the putter sets up correctly for your natural motion and helps you get the most out of Zero Torque technology. We are only offering one grip option and not offering different configurations in grip installation.
-
There can be. Positioning and distance control feel different at first because of the longer build and counterbalanced weighting. Most players adjust quickly, and many experience a noticeable improvement in consistency once the stroke becomes more shoulder-driven.
-
Yes. Allan ZT Long is fully conforming. Players must avoid anchoring the grip or shaft against the body during the stroke, but the putter itself is 100% legal for tournament play.
-
It’s built for players who want the ultimate in stability and repeatability. Golfers who prefer a more upright posture, who want less wrist involvement, or who simply want the steadiest stroke possible will feel at home with Allan ZT Long. It’s also a strong option for players seeking more consistency under pressure.
-
Because Allan ZT Long uses an extended shaft length, it requires additional head and grip weight to maintain proper balance. The extra mass helps counterbalance the longer build, stabilizes the stroke, and minimizes unintended wrist action. The result is a smoother, more controlled, shoulder-driven motion that stays consistent from takeaway through impact.
-
Zero Torque is designed to resist unwanted face rotation during the stroke. With a longer shaft, those stabilizing effects become even more pronounced. The extended length increases the putter’s overall moment of inertia, and the Zero Torque structure keeps the face square relative to the path. Together, they deliver an ultra-steady, highly repeatable stroke with fewer variables.
-
No. Allan ZT Long maintains the same center-of-gravity positioning relative to the shaft axis as the standard Allan ZT. This ensures that the performance DNA, feel, and Zero Torque benefits remain consistent between the two models, even though the Long version delivers a different setup and stroke style.
