Golf is a game of inches… but also a game of degrees, bounce, and weighting. Understanding the importance of wedge weighting, degree gaps, and bounce are all factors to help any golfer take their short game to the next level. We asked LPGA Tour Pros Mina Harigae and Katherine Kirk to walk us through their wedge setup and their personal experience with the new Sugar Daddy II Wedges. Spoiler alert, they went straight into their bags. They feature innovative Precision Weighing Technology, full face grooves, and to top it all off, they are 100% milled. Two New Grind Options New for PXG Sugar Daddy II Wedges are two different grind options to offer better performance for different types of players and course conditions. BP-Grind: Offers more bounce for golfers with a steep attack angle. The BP-Grind provides optimal performance in lush turf conditions with its wide sole and a slight taper from heel to toe. C-Grind: Offers moderate bounce for skilled golfers who want workability around the greens. The C-Grind is engineered for firm turf conditions with its narrow sole and aggressive taper from heel to toe. Both Sugar Daddy II BP- and C-Grinds come in every loft in our wedge lineup - - 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, and 62-degrees. Full Face Grooves PXG’s engineers introduce Full Face Grooves for the first time in our wedge lineup. The extension of the grooves to the perimeter of the face allows more consistent ball contact, even with shots off the toe. Extended grooves … easier up and downs. High Toe Weighting The new High Toe Weighting technology creates an improved moment of inertia (MOI) which allows the club’s center of gravity (CG) to be more in line with open-faced shots. A larger and heavier weight placed near the center of gravity (CG) allows greater impact consistency and more forgiveness.
