THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND PXG 0311 GEN3 IRONS

PXG 0311 GEN3 Irons deliver unmatched performance. Featuring our patented Impact Reactor™ Technology, which is powered by a DualCOR system, GEN3 Irons create explosive ball speeds and distance, while maintaining an unbelievably soft, yet solid feel.

PXG 0311 T GEN3 IRONS

PXG 0311 T GEN3 Irons are optimized for maximum workability and distance control. Designed for the highly skilled golfer, perfecting your game just became easier.

Sole width: Narrow sole width (0.770”) for exceptional control

Blade length and offset: Shortest blade length and minimal offset for maximum workability

PXG 0311 P GEN3 IRONS

PXG 0311 P GEN3 Irons give you the best of both worlds: the ideal balance of playability and forgiveness. Manufactured for a wide range of golfers, these irons are the perfect addition to anyone’s bag.

Sole width: Moderate sole width (0.895”) for outstanding playability

Blade length and offset: Medium blade length and moderate offset for increased MOI and excellent forgiveness on off-center hits.

PXG 0311 XP GEN3 IRONS

PXG 0311 XP GEN3 Irons were engineered with the goal of making an iron that is both exceptionally forgiving and capable of hitting golf balls farther than ever. Although our PXG 0311 XP GEN3 Irons are ideal for mid-to-high handicap golfers, they are created with all players in mind.

Sole width: Wide sole (0.935”) for easier turf interaction

Blade length and offset: Longest blade length and maximum offset to build confidence at address and deliver maximum forgiveness and distance.

WHAT MODEL WORKS BEST FOR YOU?

According to PXG Director of Sales Training Nick Jahnke, there is no right answer to this question. “The unique thing about PXG, compared to other OEMs, is that all three models have the exact same technology and a similar look. Our irons are designed to meet the needs of players at every level and don’t vary based on tour or amateur status. If a tour player wants to play our PXG 0311 T GEN3 Iron, they would be using the same exact technology as someone using an XP.”

So, what does Nick look for when fitting someone into our PXG 0311 GEN3 Irons?

“It’s all about what looks and feels the best for each player.” Nick likes to have his customers try all three models, which allows them to look at the top rail of each iron, and they can decide what makes them feel the most confident. Then he starts to get into the nitty gritty of the fitting, such as the player’s swing characteristics and TrackMan® data.

“I like to look at the amount of offset each player has and what iron allows them to hit the center of the club face more consistently. For example, those who have a little less experience playing golf tend to hit towards the toe of the golf club. These individuals may benefit from a longer blade length because this gives them the best offset for their swing. In the end, this will give them the greatest opportunity to hit square instead of always towards the toe of the club.”

WHY SOME PLAYERS MAY BE SURPRISED BY THE MODEL THAT BEST FITS THEM

In Nick’s words, “At PXG, we have engineers who work really hard to make a game improvement iron that is extremely forgiving, but doesn’t look like the typical large-soled, thick top-railed clubhead you would normally see. The P or XP Iron doesn’t look bulky, and our engineers have really refined both of these irons to make you feel like you are hitting an iron that anyone could enjoy. People might also be surprised by how forgiving the T Iron is. There is a lot hidden in there.”

So, what does this mean? Don’t check any of the models off your list until you get into a fitting with one of our expert PXG Fitting Specialists and are able to choose the model that makes you feel the most excited and confident. Our goal is to make you enjoy the course as much as possible.

HOW TO GET FITTED FOR PXG EQUIPMENT

At PXG, we have three options when it comes to getting fitted for the finest golf equipment in the world: over the phone, in person, and online. What a customer chooses is all based on personal preference and what works best for them.

IN PERSON

PXG’s Fitting Specialists offer the ultimate fitting experience at locations that are convenient to our customers. This elite group of fitters delivers an unparalleled experience through an innovative mobile program. Meticulously trained by engineers and designers who create PXG golf clubs, PXG’s Fitting Specialists have the total package. They work with you to fully understand your swing and personal goals. Equipped with a complete matrix of premium shafts, fitters will provide TrackMan® data to support the decision-making process. Factors such as: face angle, launch angle, ball speed, spin rate, attack angle, and club path are analyzed to identify the head-shaft combination for optimum distance, control, and consistency.

With expert knowledge of the PXG product lineup, your Fitting Specialist will also determine the best head weight and weight configuration for enhanced playability and shot making. Get fitted at a location near you.

OVER THE PHONE

According to Nick, our phone fittings are an incredible option for people who have geographic or time constraints, or for those who prefer to have a dialogue regarding their choices versus an in-person fitting. Some players are even nervous when it comes to hitting in front of our fitters. We get it. An over-the-phone fitting gives them the opportunity to talk through their game objectively and have an engaged conversation with a PXG Fitting Specialist.
