This is the first article in a series dedicated to our #PXGTroops and their love of the game. Each one of these stories is just one example of what inspires us to continue making some of world’s finest golf equipment.

PETER MEYERHOFF: HANDICAP 12

Meet Peter Meyerhoff, a self-proclaimed golf aficionado who boldly claims golf as his favorite sport of all time. “Golf is my favorite sport mainly because anyone can play, no matter their age or the shape they’re in. It’s also the toughest sport. You can never master it, which I believe you can in other sports.”

FEEDING THE ADDICTION

Whether you are looking to master the sport or simply manage the course, it’s important to have the right tools. For Peter, that’s PXG clubs. When asked why PXG he shared, “I play PXG because they are the best golf clubs on the planet! Their statement couldn’t be more true, ‘Nobody makes golf clubs the way we do. Period.’ I would never consider hitting another brand, ever!”

SO, WHAT’S IN THE BAG?

  • PXG 0811XF Driver, 9°
  • PXG 0317X Hybrid (Favorite club in the bag!)
  • PXG 0211 Irons, 4-PW
  • PXG 0311 Wedges, 50°, 54°, and 58°

You might notice that a few clubs are missing from the bag. Peter doesn’t play any fairway woods –between his PXG driver and hybrid, he’s more than confident that he’s got the distance game covered. And, last but certainly not least, a putter. Like many golfers wagering emotion over science in hopes of logging a lower score, the PXG Putter that makes the cut depends on how the last round went.

HAVING MORE FUN ON THE COURSE

Since adding PXG clubs to his bag, Peter has logged numerous rounds at courses across the country. However, one course and one epic golf shot stands out as, to quote PXG Founder Bob Parsons, “The Duck’s Nutz.”

“My favorite golf shot of my life was on hole 13 on the south course at Torrey Pines. I hit my drive left, was on a hill, and couldn’t even get a clean stance. I had 228 yards to the flag and was hitting into strong wind. It’s normally a hybrid all day, but I had to choke down on my PXG 4-Iron. I smoked it to 8 feet and made the putt for eagle.”

PXG is proud to design high-performance golf clubs that deliver the best opportunity technology currently affords to make the most of any lie.
