Elise Lobb Dzingel:

Hi, I’m Elise Lobb Dzingel here at the PXG Women’s Match Play Championship with President and Executive Creative Director of PXG Apparel Renee Parsons. Renee, it’s so nice to finally meet you and welcome to the World Golf Village here in Florida.

Renee Parsons:

Thanks, Elise. It’s so great to finally meet you too. I know we follow each other on social media so it’s good to see you in person.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

I’m so excited. So, the past few days I’ve been able to meet all the amazing girls, the sponsors, the staff, and, of course, walk the beautiful golf course. Why was it so important for you to be here at the PXG Women’s Match Play Championship?

Renee Parsons:

Well, it’s the inaugural event for PXG and the Women’s Match Play event, and we were just so excited to be here. It’s supporting women and girls and inclusivity and furthering the game of golf. And I felt it was very important for me to be here to help support this.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

Well, we’re so excited to have you here. So I’ve been playing PXG for many years, and I felt like as soon as I got fitted and used my golf clubs on the course, I think there’s some correlation there because my game got a lot better. Why is having PXG step up and be the title sponsor such a big deal?

Renee Parsons:

Oh my gosh. Well, I believe women’s golf is really important, and we’re really all about inclusivity at PXG, all kinds of golfers – male, female, all different levels. And so, it was just really important for us to support this exciting first time event here in Florida.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

So, you did touch on it a little bit in the beginning. I do follow you in all your social media platforms and for the viewers, if you don’t follow Renee, go do it now; it’s a must. I promise you, you won’t regret it.

Renee Parsons:

And Elise too, of course.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

I personally just see how you genuinely have this love and passion for women’s golf. Why is supporting women’s golf something so close to your heart?

Renee Parsons:

Oh my gosh. Well, because first of all, I love it so much, so it’s personal to me. I’ve formed so many new friendships and relationships on the golf course. It’s also just a really good time, and you can play golf with all levels of people, all different types of people. I play with my parents, and I’ve played with lower handicaps than me, and you can still be competitive. So it’s really, really fun.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

So I’m currently wearing some Fall/Winter 2021 Collection. You and your team did such an amazing job. I actually was last week wearing this outfit playing golf. Then I met some friends after dinner, and I just changed my shoes, and you would’ve never known I was playing 18 holes. So I love how versatile all the collection always is.

Renee Parsons:

Thank you.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

As your time as president and executive creative director of PXG Apparel, how has that opened your eyes to opportunities for women in golf?

Renee Parsons:

Well, I think that having a great outfit makes everybody feel better personally. And so when you’re more stylish, the fit is good, it’s comfortable and you look good, I think you are more apt to get into the game of golf. And a lot of women are very into fashion and style, and so I think that that starts with that. And then we go from there with the sport.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

And you’ll be joining Generation W for the Links to Leadership Summit, where you’ll be sharing your journey in success on and off the course. What are you hoping that the women take away from the panel discussion?

Renee Parsons:

Oh gosh. I hope they take away a feeling of being inspired, of being supported and just excited about their futures. All of the young women have so much ahead of them, and I just would love to play one small part in that today. And of course, I look to be inspired by them as well. So really looking forward to it.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

Well, thank you so much for taking the time and so nice to finally meet you.

Renee Parsons:

You, too.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

I know myself and everyone here at the PXG Women’s Match Play Championship are so happy to have you here.

Renee Parsons:

Oh my gosh. Well, couldn’t be happier to be here myself, looking forward to the weekend.

Elise Lobb Dzingel:

Thank you so much.

Renee Parsons:

Thank you.
